Filho's Cucina is the culmination of 25 years of combined experience for chef owners Ozzie and Rachel Filho. Ozzie who was born in Brazil, has been in the industry since the tender age of thirteen, working in his fathers kitchens in many restaurant\ pizzeria concepts in the Andover- Lawrence area. Utilizing his Brazilian-Italian heritage, Osvaldo worked his magic in some of the areas finest eating establishments.
Ozzie became a self taught executive chef at the age of 21 and was recognized as one of the most talented chefs in New England. He reigned as executive chef at the best Italian restaurant North of Boston from 1982 to 1989 and has been recognized and praised for his creativity and knowledge of Italian cooking. It was there that he met his then wife to be Rachel who has been working by his side since.
He has also masterminded a wonderfull upscale pizzeria pastaria concept where they worked for the last eight years. Together they conceived Filho's Cucina and the rest is history.
At Filho's you will find Traditional Italian fare, reasonably priced in a very casual atmosphere. We offer counter service, which allows us to provide you with high quality cuisine at an affordable price.Also the whole menu is available for takeout. Filho's also offers an extensive catering menu that will fit any occasion.
The restaurant is attached to the Groton Market, which has the best selection and variety of wines, beers and liquor in Groton. Filho's does have a "BYOB" permit. At Filho's cooking is not only a vocation, it is a passion.
